McArthur Farms
With a story that is as unique as each field row he plants, Jim McArthur is a second-generation farmer in Malone, Florida, who comically shares the world of row crop farming through his YouTube and TikTok channels. Between the good, the bad, and the funny, McArthur gives a light, but honest, perspective to the daily grind and situations found on the farm when growing cotton and peanuts in the Southeast.
Jim’s father started farming in 1974 with just soybeans and peanuts, and then started growing cotton in 1991. Jim grew up working on the farm with his dad but became interested in music and videos as he got older. This led him to pursue college and leave the farm, but in 2009 he decided to come back to the farm and eventually decided to combine his love for creating music and videos with farming.
While we know him as Jim McArthur, he is known as “Randy the Farmer” to many through his social media presence. When he came back to the farm, Jim didn’t want just to make a good crop and a good yield like all the other farmers, but to make farming fun. Known for his emo country music taste and plenty of trips and falls while working on the farm, “Randy the Farmer” has become a well-known comedic farmer in the social media space. Now with over 121,000 subscribers on his “Field Rows” Youtube channel, over 6,000 on his “Randy the Farmer” Youtube Channel, and over 420,000 followers on TikTok, McArthur has turned their operation into a creative outlet that not only shows bits and pieces of daily life as a cotton and peanut farmer, but is sure to give you a good laugh along the way.
McArthur is ecstatic to join the Magnolia Loom family of farmers. He takes pride in growing the cotton and knowing where the cotton came from that makes the shirt on your back. “It’s awesome to have a shirt, or anything, that has the actual cotton that we grew and be able to say we grew this shirt. We’re pumped,” says McArthur.
The McArthur cotton will be used for Magnolia Loom shirts available at the 2024 Florida FFA Convention and 2024 Florida Cattlemen’s Convention in June. Shirts will also be available for custom printing and on our website in the future as well.
